If you want to visit the opera, you can go to the Kungliga Operan (The Royal Swedish Opera). For classical music, there is two big concert halls in Stockholm. Also, you can visit two historical theatres near Stockholm. All places are well worth a visit both musically and architecturally.

The very big pop and rock bands perform on Stockholm’s largest stages that are easy to reach by public transports (we don’t recommend to take the car to events here). Also, well-known national and international artist perform on the stages in the beautiful Södra Teatern (the Theatre of the South) and Cirkus in central Stockholm. From the spring to the early autumn these artists can perform on the outdoor stage in the amusement park Gröna Lund opposite to the Cirkus.

In central Stockholm, you find the jazz club Fasching, which is one of Europe's oldest jazz clubs, and Stampen that have live concerts during several weekdays, all the year round. Two centrally located houses – Musikaliska Kvarteret (the Musical Quarter) and Nalen – have a wide range of concerts with jazz performances in their programmes.
